Terms and Conditions

By accessing this website, requesting a quote, placing an order, or engaging Mates 4x4 for supply or fitment services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

These terms apply to all transactions between Mates 4x4 ABN [ABN] ("we", "us", "our") and the customer ("you"). We reserve the right to update these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Mates 4x4 supplies and fits 4x4 accessories including Maxliner Venture canopies, Neway Works drawer systems, ALTIQ LED lighting, awnings, fridges and related accessories. All products are subject to availability.

Product images and descriptions on our website are provided in good faith. Colours may vary slightly from images due to screen calibration and manufacturing tolerances. We reserve the right to substitute equivalent products where a specific item is unavailable, with your prior approval.

Pricing displayed on our website is in Australian Dollars (AUD) and is inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price confirmed in your written quote is the price that applies to your order.

All quotes provided by Mates 4x4 are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A quote does not constitute a binding contract until accepted in writing and a deposit is received.

Orders are confirmed upon receipt of a deposit (typically 50% of the total order value, or as otherwise agreed in writing). The balance is due on completion of fitment or prior to collection of goods.

We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion. If we are unable to fulfil your order, any deposit paid will be refunded in full.

All fitment work is carried out at our Pakenham workshop by our trained technicians. We do not subcontract fitment work.

You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle is presented in a clean and roadworthy condition. We reserve the right to refuse fitment on vehicles that are unsafe or unsuitable.

Fitment times are estimates only. While we make every effort to complete work on time, delays may occur due to parts availability, vehicle condition, or unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you as soon as practicable of any delay.

Any modifications to your vehicle required to facilitate fitment (e.g. drilling, cutting, or removal of factory components) will be carried out with your prior consent. You accept responsibility for ensuring any such modifications comply with applicable road rules and vehicle standards in your state or territory.

We accept payment by cash, bank transfer, and major credit/debit cards. Payment terms are as agreed in your quote or invoice.

Title to goods does not pass to you until payment is received in full. We reserve the right to recover goods for which payment has not been made.

Overdue accounts may be subject to a late payment fee and recovery costs.

We comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement, repair or refund for major failures, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Change-of-mind returns are accepted within 14 days of purchase for unused, uninstalled products in original packaging. A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply. Freight costs for returns are at your expense unless the return is due to our error or a product fault.

Custom-ordered or specially sourced products (including colour-matched canopies) are non-refundable unless faulty.

Cancellations made after an order is confirmed and goods have been ordered from our supplier may result in forfeiture of the deposit to cover costs already incurred.

Products supplied by Mates 4x4 carry the manufacturer's warranty as specified for each product. Maxliner Venture canopies carry a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. Neway Works drawer systems carry the warranty specified by Neway Works.

Warranty claims must be directed to Mates 4x4 in the first instance. We will liaise with the manufacturer on your behalf where required.

Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, unauthorised modification, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions. Warranty work must be carried out by Mates 4x4 or an authorised repairer — unauthorised repairs will void the warranty.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the ACL.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mates 4x4's liability for any claim arising from the supply of goods or services is limited to the value of the goods or services supplied.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special or incidental loss or damage, including loss of income, loss of profits, or loss of use of a vehicle, arising from the supply or fitment of products.

We are not responsible for damage to vehicles caused by pre-existing faults, rust, or structural weakness that was not apparent at the time of fitment.

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and product descriptions, is the property of Mates 4x4 or its suppliers and is protected by Australian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute or use any content without our prior written consent.

We collect and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). By using our website or services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
